Sci Tech Nexus 2024 was an inspiring showcase of the incredible talent, curiosity, and drive of our local students. It’s events like these that remind us of the vital role education, innovation, and community support play in shaping the future. The projects presented were not only creative and technically impressive, but also rooted in solving real-world problems — exactly the kind of thinking we need to foster in Frederick County and beyond. As a County Council member, I see firsthand how youth-driven initiatives like this contribute to the economic vitality and long-term resilience of our region. Sci Tech Nexus is helping to build a pipeline of future scientists, engineers, and entrepreneurs right here in our own backyard. I’m proud to support programs that empower young minds, and I look forward to seeing how this event continues to grow and strengthen our community in the years ahead
